Milan continue to work for Dani Olmo’s signature. During today’s show on Sky Italia, Gianluca Di Marzio provided us with some updates on the matter, stating that the Rossoneri are still in the race.
Dani Olmo is perhaps the rumours man this month. A lot of clubs are chasing Dinamo’s Spanish super-talent, with Milan being one of the clubs.
In the beginning, Milan seemed close to winning the race judging by Croatian media’s reporting of the situation, but the progress of the negotiations has since stalled. Di Marzio has now shed some new light on the situation (via MilanNews.it).
On the show, he said that Milan continue to work for Olmo. Currently, Wolverhampton Wanderers have the highest bid – worth around €30million – and Leipzig have had a €16million offer rejected by the Croats.
However, Leipzig would be more willing to please Olmo’s agents in commission fees. Milan are still in the race thanks to Zvonimir Boban’s close relationship with Dinamo’s sporting director, and the two are in contact daily.
Milan would want to sign the player for the summer and are not willing to pay more than €20million. Dinamo, however, wants to sell now. Therefore, at this point, Milan must decide whether to immediately enter the negotiations or risk losing out on the player.
