Di Marzio: Milan defender emerges as late option for Galatasaray

AC Milan defender Fode Ballo-Toure is the subject of interest from Turkish side Galatasaray with Super Lig sides still able to sign players from European clubs.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, the Senegalese defender could be on the move again soon with Galatasaray having failed to sign Nicola Zalewski from AS Roma. The Polish winger has decided that he would like to stay with the Giallorossi.

Napoli’s Mario Rui is another player that the Turkish side is contemplating a move for, and they have got until late on September 13 to sort a move for someone.

Ballo-Toure spent last season on loan at Fulham in the Premier League but he failed to impress and is now something of an outcast at Milan.

He could be used in an emergency situation by Paulo Fonseca during the season but he is certainly not in the primary plans of the Portuguese coach.

It is not clear whether Galatasaray would want to loan Ballo-Toure or sign him permanently but it would be useful for Milan from a financial standpoint if they could sell him and remove his wages from the books, even if that money cannot be reinvested until the January transfer window at the earliest.

  1. Ballo-Toure doesn’t weigh too much on Milan’s payroll, so I really don’t care that much about him, the real problem is fvckin’ Origi…
