Di Marzio: Milan enquire about Udinese star ahead of the summer – the details

AC Milan and Fiorentina are both interested in signing Nehuen Perez from Udinese and have asked for information, according to a report.

Perez has become a pillar of Udinese and he is in his third season there. Di Marzio recalls that they signed him in the summer of 2021 from Atletico Madrid on an initial loan that was made permanent a year later.

Los Colchoneros have retained a buy-back clause, and now Perez is liked by many clubs ahead of the next summer transfer window. Among these there are also Fiorentina and Milan, who are monitoring him carefully and have asked for information.

Perez is 23 years old, but his reliability seems that of a veteran given he has already played 127 games in Serie A, LaLiga and the Portuguese Primera. Udinese invested €8m to sign him permanently and the trust was repaid.

Between last season and the start of this one, Perez played 52 games – 34 last year, then 18 out of 18 from August to today – and this season he has currently played 100% minutes available. Only four players have done the same, excluding goalkeepers.

This reliability earned him his debut with Scaloni’s Argentina on 24 September 2022, in a friendly match against Honduras in preparation for the World Cup. The Albiceleste coach launched him and now he wants a starting spot for the Selección, something a move to a bigger club could help.
