Ricardo Rodriguez is on his way to Fenerbahce, which leaves a vacant spot to fill at left-back behind Theo Hernandez. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Milan have now identified two potential replacements.
After many twists and turns between PSV Eindhoven and Fenerbahce, it’s now clear that Ricardo Rodriguez has chosen the Turkish club as his next destination. The Swiss international will leave Milan on a loan with an obligation to buy for €5million according to multiple outlets, including our own Vito Angele.
Rodriguez’s move leaves a vacant position behind Theo Hernandez at the left-back position that needs to be filled, and Gianluca Di Marzio revealed earlier on Wednesday that Milan want a young player for that spot.
According to Di Marzio‘s update on Wednesday night’s Calcio Mercato L’Originale, the Diavolo have identified Wigan Athletic’s 22-year-old full-back Antonee Robinson and Heart of Midlothian’s 17-year-old defender Aaron Hickey as two options.
Robinson has currently played 27 games for Wigan in the English Championship this season and scored one goal. Hickey, who’s been dubbed a wonderkid by many experts, has played 17 games for Hearts this season and scored once. Hickey has previously been targeted by clubs such as Liverpool and Arsenal.
