Di Marzio: Milan hoping to close deal for Wolfsburg midfielder today

By Oliver Fisher -

While the games are coming thick and fast, the AC Milan management are still hoping to complete the squad in the transfer market.

According to what Gianluca Di Marzio reported on Sky (via MilanNews), Milan are ready to close their market with the signing of a new central midfielder, ending a search that has been going on the the entire window.

The Rossoneri will try to close the deal with Wolfsburg for Aster Vranckx as early as today as per the journalist, as there were contacts between the clubs yesterday and now Milan are just waiting for the Bundesliga side to accept the offer.

The talks are down to the final details, and only the amount for the option to buy remains to be agreed. Tiemoue Bakayoko could terminate his loan tomorrow meanwhile, but he could stay in Lombardy as Monza are keen on signing him to bolster their midfield.

    1. No, there hasn’t been any movement on that since the CdK deal so I’m not sure why you’d expect anything. We have two RWs, one of whom was only signed this off-season, so there won’t be any incoming there

      1. We actually have 5 players who have experience as RW, but none of them are natural RW:
        Messias (SS)
        Saelemaekers (RB)
        CDK (AM)
        Origi (FW)
        Florenzi (RB)

  1. I know Rebic doesnt like playing there but he could do a good job on the RW and play every game. If not, what about Diaz with CDK in the middle. Diaz would have a bit more space and time and it may help his form.

  2. After see pobega bad performance last night vs sassoulo , i think AC Milan will need this aster for DMF . I hope AC Milan can loan ziyech or other RW at last hour market like galliani did calling that mister x
