AC Milan could return to try and sign Wigan Athletic full-back Antonee Robinson during the summer transfer window, a report claims.
As Gianluca Di Marzio has told Sky Italia (as cited by MilanNews.it), the official version of why the transfer collapsed is that medical visits found some small anomaly that had to be analysed better.
Particularly when it is an international transfer and now a domestic one and especially when these operations are done at the last minute, there simply is not the time to complete the necessary checks prior to the deadline.
It is not Milan’s fault either, as Ricardo Rodriguez had only left the day before for PSV after two failed moves to Fenerbahce and Napoli. If he hadn’t left, a replacement wouldn’t have been needed at the last minute.
Di Marzio adds that there will be time and way to do it during the summer, because when Milan want a player they are unlikely to go cold, especially given that Paolo Maldini is involved and it is a left-back he likes.
