Di Marzio: ‘Close to the finish line’ – Milan working to complete Miranda deal

AC Milan are pushing ahead trying to get business done in view of the reopening of the transfer window and they are close to an agreement with Juan Miranda, a report claims.

Gianluca Di Marzio claimed this afternoon that Milan have closed the signing of Serbian talent Matija Popovic, who will join in January on a free transfer from Partizan Belgrade on a four and a half year deal, with competition from Real Madrid and Barcelona seen off.

The journalist is also reporting that Milan are ‘close to the finish line’ for another arrival: Juan Miranda of Real Betis. New talks with the player’s entourage are expected in the next few hours to sort out the final details of the contract.

The Spanish full-back’s deal with Real Betis expires in June 2024, so it would be a free transfer arrival. However, Milan will seek an agreement with the Seville club to bring Miranda to Italy as early as January.
