AC Milan are expected to submit an official offer for Kyle Walker in the coming hours, according to a report, with Fikayo Tomori getting closer to a move to Juventus.
Yesterday’s 2-0 defeat against Juventus highlighted that Milan desperately need to reinforce their squad this month, otherwise they can kiss a top-four finish goodbye. With Fikayo Tomori closing in on Juventus, the Rossoneri could use the funds to start their mercato.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Kyle Walker is one of Milan’s top targets and they are now preparing to make a first official offer. We are talking about a loan with an option to buy, set to be submitted in the coming hours, and there is optimism to close the deal.
The Englishman is obviously a reinforcement for the right-back role, not so much the centre of defence, so Milan would still have to find a replacement for Tomori. What is clear, however, is that the former Chelsea man’s departure would open up a squad slot for Walker.
It remains to be seen what will happen, but the feeling is that there could be multiple mercato developments in the coming days. After all, we are not that far from the deadline and Milan need to make moves.
A club’s administration that is ready to reinforce the opponents and deplete the team with low players!!! The writing is already on the wall!!!
It’s not selling Tomori that is the issue but rather strengthening a direct rival without a established known replacement.
The management are risking big-time with profit their only motive.
Selling Tomori is a huge issue. Even if we signed the best CB in the world, players especially CB need time to integrate.
If we plan on selling him then summer is the best time
Dude this season is over. They understand that. They think about next season. They must start cleaning squad now to bring reinforcement in summer.
4th place still has to be the objective or else the whole project is back to zero, no CL money, players wanting to leave and more difficulty attracting players
Tomori is a good back up to Thiaw/Gabbia at most. Yesterday he was really poor in the second half and he hasn’t played like a leader in ages.
The problem is strengthening Juventus ,who are already more equipped to snatch 4th place. If a foreign team offered the same money , probably even Empoli’s Goglichedze would be just as good as Tomori is currently in the squad.
Just my opinion.
I don’t disagree but i think integrating a new defender over the next 6 months would be fine if we keep Tomori and sell in summer.
That is how the smart teams evolve a squad.
It looks to me that walker is his replacement
That’s not an issue as playing Gabbia and Thiaw over Tomori is already an improvement.
Redbird Elliott are going to pay for bad moves in this serie a season.
You must have strong 11 players plus solid 11 back ups to compete in serie a.
Let’s forget UCL league. They need to start from beginning.
Mike as GK solid. Theo left back – OK. This guy doesn’t have substitute for last 5 or 6 years. Right back we don’t have right back. Emerson Royal could be back up right back, but in first team.
Centre backs: Thiaw and Gabbia are 2 solid back up centre backs. So Tomori can be sold with Kalulu, and RedBird and Elliott must invest in 2 strong centre back pair. They had opportunity to sign Buongiorno, so now they must sell Pavlovic as well.
Reijnders Fofana Bennacer Musah as midfielders ok, one new should be bought. Leao left Pulisic right but new central forward must arrive. Morata ok as back up.
So we need to sell Okafor and Chukwueze, sell all loaned players and release all players in last year of contract.
Redbird elliot must pay this difference of approx 100 million what club is going to miss without Europe next year. And next season these players must fight for scudetto !
If they can’t compete on that level, sell them all.
I can’t understand the hype over Musah, apart from running he is useless
If Walker comes to Milan I make a suggestion to all Milan players and personal at the club : hide your wifes, moms, girlfriends, sisters…etcetera 😆😆😆
What a toxic character whiteout any moral values…
I think milan need walker. As he the UCL & EPL campeone. Milan need a leader at the back. Milan doing good business but not for long term.
Please sell:
1. Tomori ( can’t marking striker & late decision to block or tackling ).
2. musah ( only walking and like limbo on the pitch )
3. chukwu ( he can’t crossing the ball )
4. RLC ( I dunno understand what his position on the field ).
5. Abraham ( he couldnt be like lukaku or giroud ).
They doing nothing at least until against juve.
I have never seen management like Milans’. You straighten your direct rival that you just lost against yesterday with your starting line up player? I think I’m done with this team for now until when the management is changed
Once you realize this mess is called RedBird FC, not AC Milan, you’ll stop wasting energy on them.
Want to ask a simple question just assuming nothing much I know the UCL qualifications takes miracle or disqualification of any team to fit in but let me say Milan win all the remaining games left can we qualify automatically without any probabilities or waiting for favour from any team
If I were Juventus, or in its position:
I’d def get tomori at the highest cost it can afford for the transfer.
Why? All Juventus needs at this point is one very good CB, and they will be complete and succeed from there.
Tomori was the main force during Milan’s title-winning season, and he is still very good. Also proven and been successful in Serie A. That’s all Juv needs.. hahahah
