Di Marzio: Milan plan meeting with mother-agent of Rabiot amid possible move

AC Milan are expected to hold talks with the mother-agent of Adrien Rabiot over the potential of signing him on a free transfer, a report claims.

As we recently reported via our colleagues at SempreMilan.it, Milan have made another contract offer to Rabiot, who remains without a team after saying goodbye to Juventus at the beginning of the summer.

The reason that he is yet to find a new team is that Frenchman’s entourage want him to earn €7m net per season, which is more or less what he was getting from the Bianconeri before he decided to leave. Milan are willing to pay less, but Geoffrey Moncada believes a meeting point can be found.

According to the latest from Gianluca Di Marzio, after welcoming Tammy Abraham Milan are still working on adding another midfielder. Rabiot’s name is back in fashion and the directors are trying for the former PSG man, who would of course be available on a free.

Not only that, but a meeting is planned with Veronique, the Frenchman’s mother and agent. However, the possible acceleration for Rabiot is linked to the exit of Ismael Bennacer. Atletico Madrid are negotiating for the former Empoli player, but at the moment nothing seems imminent on that front.

  1. If he’s available on free transfer, the end of the transfer window doesn’t matter. But anyways, his salary is a problem. I don’t have an issue with him joining on a short term contract

    1. His salary can be covered from players’ sales and other revenue from sponsorship, items, etc. And can we also sign Hermoso if Thiaw’s still bad in defending. You know our management like free and cheap players within budget as usual.

      1. We’ve made hardly any sales, the club have invested in a whole Serie C team, spent more than €90M in fees (and tried to spend €40-45M on one player), taken on annual costs of probably an extra €20-40M for this year alone in the budget…..

This article is about talking to someone who would cost us much more than €10M for a single season.

What does the management have to do to avoid being called ‘cheap’ by you?

  2. Hermoso was demanding what? 8 or 9 million? That’s not happening. And no. It’s never worth throwing our pay scale out of whack for any free transfer. See Origi as an example.

  3. Umm. Ya yup this is 💯believable🤡🤡

His notoriously difficult mother/agent is going to waive her COMMISSIONS so he can sign 5M season deal for FREE?????? LOLOLOLOLOLOLO

Oh yes this is for sure happening. AND did you also hear we are signing M’Bappe AND Haaland for 5€?????

Fabrizio Romano should be announcing “here we go!” soon – just wait for it 😂🤣

    1. Ultimately, unless he wants to go outside Europe and leave the national team, he’ll have to take the best offer he gets
