AC Milan are pushing to try and sign Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger on loan before the window shuts, a report claims.
Milan desperately need defensive reinforcement before Monday’s 20:00 CEST deadline given that Alessio Romagnoli, Mateo Musacchio and Leo Duarte are all currently out, meaning Simon Kjaer and Matteo Gabbia are the only fit options.
Gianluca Di Marzio reported earlier on Sunday Milan have made Schalke’s Ozan Kabak a concrete target for the defence and have in fact presented an offer to the Bundesliga club totalling €15m.
However, Schalke have in fact always asked for €25m, and have never gone down from that price tag. Milan are trying anyway in the knowledge that it won’t be easy, and it seems alternatives are now being evaluated.
According to Di Marzio‘s latest for Sky Italia, Milan are now trying to sign Rudiger on loan from Chelsea, a player not considered part of Frank Lampard’s plans for the 2020-21 season.
