Big news arrived from Gianluca Di Marzio on Monday night, as he confirmed that AC Milan are preparing an offer for Lucas Torreira.
There has been a lot of rumours linking the Rossoneri with a summer approach for the Uruguay international, mostly due to his history with Milan’s new manager Marco Giampaolo.
At the end of Monday night’s Calcio Mercato L’Originale, there was a big update on proceedings, as the ever reliable Di Marzio revealed that Milan are preparing an offer to the Gunners for the midfielder.
Torreira’s agent has apparently given his green light for a bid to be made, and the player for his part is keen on the move.
He’s excited by the idea of a reunion with Giampaolo, and he also revealed in an interview some time ago that he misses the Italian culture.
Di Marzio goes on to say that Milan’s new management – Maldini, Boban and Massara – are currently discussing with Torreira’s entourage over the best offer to present Arsenal with.
Arsenal are, however, not planning on handing out any discounts on a player who they signed for €26m fee last summer and was hugely important to them last season.
