Di Marzio: Milan meet Stuttgart to discuss striker and ‘other attackers’

The AC Milan management held a meeting with their counterparts from Bundesliga side Stuttgart this morning, according to a report.

As Gianluca Di Marzio reports, Milan’s season is now practically over given that the last game is on Saturday against Salernitana and there is nothing to play for. The planning for next season has therefore obviously already begun.

Today, Wednesday 22 May, there was a meeting between the Rossoneri and Stuttgart. The theme of the dialogue was the mercato with the Rossoneri continuing to work for Serhou Guirassy – who was already of interest to them in January – and ‘other attackers’.

The meeting took place this morning and ended shortly after 11am. In the hours to come we should learn more about which players are of interest to Milan from Stuttgart, who finished in the Champions League places after an excellent campaign.

Meanwhile, Di Marzio adds that Rossoneri’s first choice for the role of head coach remains Paulo Fonseca, with whom the leaders are increasingly convinced of moving forward.

However, they must negotiate with the current manager Stefano Pioli regarding his exit, given that it would be a costly pay-out to sack him and his staff with a year left on his deal and thus they will look to mutually terminate the contract.
