Di Marzio: Milan identify Torino defender as alternative target to Dragusin

AC Milan have identified Torino defender Alessandro Buongiorno as an alternative target to Genoa’s Radu Dragusin for the January transfer window, a report claims.

As has been reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, the Rossoneri are looking at an array of centre-back targets this month and two names in Serie A are really standing out right now.

The primary target appears to be Dragusin from Genoa who has been impressive this season and garnered attention from Tottenham, Napoli and Bayern Munich.

Given that competition, Milan know that they need to have other targets and one of them seems to be Buongiorno at Torino, who is also having a very good campaign and has broken into the Italy setup.

Milan still need to talk to Torino and work out what sort of fee would be needed for that deal, but the interest appears to be genuine and he should be a cheaper option than Dragusin.

Another name from outside of Italy that has been linked with a move to Milan is Lilian Brassier who plays for Stade Brest, but the report claims that both Dragusin and Buongiorno are higher on the list of targets, although he may also be the easiest player to strike a deal for.
