Di Marzio: Milan turn to Chelsea again to fill needs – Moncada working on double deal

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have once again picked up the phone and dialled Chelsea in their time of need, with negotiations reportedly ongoing over two players.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the name that the Milan management like a lot is that of Romelu Lukaku, who returned to Chelsea after his loan at Roma but who is not part of Enzo Maresca’s plans for next season and is therefore destined to leave.

Milan are continuing the dialogue with Chelsea to try and work something out but the operation for the Belgian striker will not be a quick one to complete, especially so early on in the summer.

The Rossoneri know that Lukaku is on the list of departures and they are pushing to try to take him on favourite terms, but for the time being the Blues are standing firm on the idea of recouping a sizeable fee.

However, Lukaku is not the only name being discussed. Milan have Carney Chukwuemeka among their targets and is working to convince the London club to open up to a loan formula.

They are proposing various options for it to turn into a permanent deal, too. Work is in progress on the Milan-Chelsea axis again, with Geoffrey Moncada trying to do a double deal to strengthen Fonseca’s squad.

  1. Fabrizio Romano : chelsea not interesting loan lukaku & carney. For carney he have 40m euro release clause , pay it or leave. Just forget this two

  2. I’ll never understand how a club can drop 110M for a player and then just fúck him away after a season.. entitled madness that

  3. I know nothing has happened yet, but I really hope that Kaku
is not coming here, even if it’s just as a secondary striker. It will just show that Milan can only sign big name players when they are way past their prime. It’s the kind of signing second-tier teams make, once the truly big clubs are done with them.

  4. If the management had to keep going back to Chelsea to get deals done that says a lot about the incompetence of this management. There are other clubs….or is the new approach ‘go to Chelsea who we have a good relationship with and just see who they don’t want anymore’

  5. I’m like whatever. Can’t really see any trophy coming in next season unless ANY of these stories materialized. We might end up closing the Mercato with gossips only

  6. How embarrassing we have become under this management and ownership….

Discounts, haggling, expiring deals only, others need not apply, “interested” in everyone until we find out the price lol, Chelsea’s b team cast offs….excellent strategy. But hey anything for a cheap deal and at least we are a profitable club!! Ya that an a box of donuts will win you a trophy lol

    Good times
