Di Marzio: Milan working on signing of San Lorenzo striker linked with Barcelona, Benfica

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are working on the signing of San Lorenzo striker Adolfo Gaich for the upcoming transfer window, it is claimed.

The Rossoneri’s owners Elliott Management have thus far deployed a recruitment strategy focused on buying young players with high potential and developing them in order to record capital gains on the balance sheet.

Milan are also expected to strengthen their attacking department in the summer with doubts over the future of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and a general lack of depth in that area.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Milan are working on the signing of Adolfo Gaich, an Argentine striker who currently plays at San Lorenzo and has been endorsed by club scouts.

He has five goals in 12 appearances so far this season and has represented Argentina up until U22 level, and he has also been linked with moves to both Benfica and Barcelona over the past 24 hours.

The 21-year-old has one senior appearance for the Argentine national side, that coming last September.
