Di Marzio: Milan’s hopes regarding Fiorentina defender fade as West Ham offer €25m

By Oliver Fisher -

Fiorentina are reflecting after West Ham United made a sizeable offer for reported Milan target Nikola Milenkovic, it is claimed.

Milan have been repeatedly linked with a move for Milenkovic over the past few weeks, with a number of major sources reporting that he is the No.1 defensive target for both the management and head coach Stefano Pioli.

However, negotiations do not appear to have advanced much as Fiorentina continue to set a high asking price of €35-40m for the 22-year-old, with hopes of keeping him beyond the summer and discussing a renewal.

According to the latest from Gianluca Di Marzio (via MilanNews), West Ham have come forward for Milenkovic and tabled an offer of €25m for the Serbia international.

He adds that Fiorentina are reflecting on this offer, while waiting for more advantageous proposals in the mean time that are perhaps closer to their valuation while Milan, it seems, are focusing on other targets.
