Di Marzio: Nacional star asks president to reject Palmeiras bid so he can join Milan

By Oliver Fisher -

Matias Vina has told his current side Club Nacional to reject an offer from Palmeiras so he can join AC Milan, a report claims.

It was reported by MilanNews.it earlier on Thursday that Ricardo Rodriguez is set to complete a move to PSV Eindhoven on the basis of a €2m paid loan with option to buy set at €4m.

Now, Milan are looking for a replacement to play back up to Theo Hernandez, and the profile at the top of the list is that of Matias Viña, a 22-year-old from Uruguayan capital side Nacional.

Paolo Maldini and Zvonomir Boban are waiting for a response after submitting the following bid: a paid loan of €1.5m with an obligation to buy (set at around €7m) under certain conditions.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Italia, Vina will speak with the president of Nacional to tell him to reject the offer already on the table from Brazilian side Palmeiras as he would rather complete a move to Milan.

MilanNews also reported that Vina is ready to land in Milan for medical visits once the offer has been accepted by his club.
