Newcastle are ready to table an improved offer for Malick Thiaw, having seen their first one rejected by AC Milan, according to a report.
Just a few days ago, it was reported that Milan had rejected a €30m offer from Newcastle for the centre-back. Max Allegri has been impressed with his performances during the pre-season and as such, the price tag is higher in the eyes of the Rossoneri.

Furthermore, knowing that Premier League clubs have a lot of money to spend, Milan obviously want to get as much as possible out of a potential sale. Potential indeed, as it’s not certain that Igli Tare will sanction a sale before the window closes.
New offer expected today
According to Gianluca Di Marzio this morning, Newcastle are ready to table an improved offer for Thiaw today, convinced that they can get a deal over the line. The first offer, as confirmed by the journalist, amounted to €30m.

The player’s will is expected to be decisive as, in the event that he accepts the move, Milan could succumb to the pressure and accept the offer. They also have Parma’s Giovanni Leoni in their sights for the backline and to sign him, Thiaw would need to be sold.
Sadly, Di Marzio’s report didn’t say anything about the figures of the new offer, so we will have to wait and see on that front.

get Leoni!
if we can get Miretti, Savona and Vlahovic as well with RB and ST budget + Musah sale… we should finally have a good Italian core
Rovella, Fagioli, Kayode, Coppola were missed out on for no reason and all of them were sold for pennies… same will happen if we let the duo go for cheap
You forgot Messi. He came to Barca for free.
If they are serious about building a brand, all these unnecessary sales is not necessary, he is a very good player, the club needs to understand that you can’t build a winning team by selling players every season, you need to retain your core.
but we can’t have rebuild every season.
we didn’t have fullbacks and midfield sorted… hence the team didn’t perform
everyone was saying that individually we were one of the top teams, but when it came to a team; even Bologna performed better
once we have quality starting 11 and rid of useless players only then we can think of stability
Please if the offer worth 40m, furlani will open the table. We get hojlund + leoni. No more drama for vlahovic, he will go to Saudi. Miretti already agreed with Napoli. Then the Milan market will be closed.
Rovella fagioli are in the class of Ricci.
Kayode is just an average player
he just left 6 months ago, lets see… his versatility is important and he is better than the swiss kid as of today…
Please how do I block you from seeing your comment kid? You always write rubbish thinking you are playing Ps5 here. Just keep shut. You know absolutely nothing about football. Gush.
please do explain… most of you just write random bs, at least I have reasoning
we are signing 7 player if we keep Thiaw and Musah, 9 if they leave… i play ps5 but Tare and Allegri are don’t…
maybe distance your bias from me, but for that you actually would need a brain… MAGA supporters have more reasoning than some of you here
Endy, me too this guy is annoying us
again…
if I’m wrong tell me how… we are finally building an actual squad… when the squad is finished for the first time in a decade, I will only want to keep our players…
until we do this once properly this will be an unending cycle… you can’t even tell me the alternative…
This Milan is obsessed with capital gain and will sell any player if it brings capital gain. If they sell Thiaw for 35 million, the capital gain is 30 million and that’s all they care about. Why don’t they sell Tomori? Because there is little capital gain. Ppenta, it hurts them for the quality of the team and the fight for trophies, if the player brings a capital gain he goes for sale.
There’s plenty of capital gains in selling Tomori. But clubs want to buy Thiaw; he’s younger and is on a much lower salary. Tomori’s book value is about 5M at this point, but his market value is probably only 15-20M and that’s assuming a team wants to pick up his salary and he wants to move.
Yes definitely bro.. Milan these day are obsessed about money. We will see next season maybe jashari will go to city / Barca for 60-70m. Furlani ? He always open that table 😆😆
If Parma are still sticking to €40m for Leoni, Milan won’t risk selling Thiaw. Even if we can get close to €40m for Thiaw, it doesn’t make any sense giving all that money to Parma. Inter are showing interest, while Parma is waiting to see what happens with Thiaw. If we sell Thiaw, and, go for Leoni, we’ll a start a bidding war with Inter for him, and, chances are that he will pick Inter ahead of us. Then, we will be big losers.
