Di Marzio on Milan’s summer window: “A lot won’t be done, but they will do a little something”

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan fans should not expect a busy summer of incomings and outgoings, at least according to Sky Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Rossoneri had a fantastic end to the season once it resumed after the Coronavirus break, winning nine out of their last 12 games including victories over Roma, Lazio and Juventus, failing to lose in that stretch too.

That run earned Stefano Pioli a two-year contract extension as the club scrapped their plans to bring in Ralf Rangnick from Red Bull, and now attention has turned to what might happen in the transfer market to mount a serious top four surge.

There has been talk of anywhere between three and seven signings arriving, but Di Marzio – who spoke to Radio 24 – believes that it will just be small tweaks for Pioli.

“Milan starts from a base that allowed Pioli’s team to score more points than everyone else after the lockdown,” he said (via MilanNews).

“On the market, according to them, a lot wont be done, but they will do a little something.”
