Preparations are underway at Milanello in view of tomorrow night’s Champions League last 16 first leg game against Spurs at San Siro tomorrow.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the good news is that Fikayo Tomori and Ismael Bennacer should both be available for the game after recovering from their respective injuries and it is very probable that they will start from the first minute in place of Malick Thiaw and Rade Krunic respecitvely.
Pioli’s is expected to use a 3-4-1-2 system with Pierre Kalulu and Simon Kjaer accompanying Tomori in the three-man defence, Davide Calabria and Theo Hernandez as wing-backs and Sandro Tonali alongside Bennacer.
The attack should comprise of Brahim Diaz as the playmaker behind a front two of Olivier Giroud – who netted the winner against Torino on Friday – and Olivier Giroud.
Probable Milan XI (3-4-1-2): Tatarusanu; Kalulu, Kjaer, Tomori; Calabria, Tonali, Bennacer, Theo Hernandez; Brahim; Giroud, Leao.
Calabria is playing criminal game after return. On rwb Saelemakers is very good, he play that position in national team.
Kjaer is over product.
Thiaw?
Is this a joke report?
Why would Thiaw be dropped? Why would Calabria come back in for Salad? Why?
“According to Gianluca Di Marzio”, but if true I will also be very confused.
recipe for disaster
Great to see Giroud partnering… Giroud what a 2 man strike force!
LOL. We’ll be unstoppable now.
How many of them are potentially 5 or 6 points players?
Poli gotta go.
Will Milan pay RM $22m to buy Diaz? The answer is resounding no. Poli is mad to continously play Diaz and destroy CDK & Adil.
Madness
He is not destroying CDK. CDK has been bad every time he has been on the pitch. His confidence is low and his attitude is bad. Do we need a better number 10 than Diaz? ABsolutely, but right now he is our best option there. Say what you will, but he has outperformed CDK and earned that spot. Now Adli, who know why Pioli won’t give him a chance. That’s a mystery. But CDK has not been good and doesn’t have the confidence right now to be playing.
Why would Thiaw be dropped and also why would Calabria start? LOL. Here we go again. I get “experience” over youth argument for CL….but at this point we are past that. Play Thiaw period. Kajer is still not 100% and Calabria is not a wing back… – both players are backups. Yikes
If Thiaw and Saelemaekers are dropped for kjaer and Calabria then Pioli should be dropped. The guy has lost it…
It’s true that Giroud is worth two front men. Allez Milan!
Why Diaz ahead of cdk and why not pairing thiaw with fikayo tomori.hmmm we leave to see.FORZA MILAN.
This has to be a joke. How does Calabria get back in this lineup? Get ready to give up 4 goals to the spurs. ANd I guess Thiaw played too well to stay in the lineup. That makes sense.
Giroud is still the man .A truly amazing centre foward .
Give this man service and he will score against any team in the world .He has great vision and awareness and inside the 18 yard area he is the best anywhere.
I think with him alongside Rafeol leao we will be able to beat Tottenham…especially now that the form of Olivier and Theo Hernandez look good again .Also thought salamakers had a very good game against Torino ,so he should start against Tottenham also .
Just a point of note I believe Olivier Giroud can play for quite some time yet ,and indeed could well play for France in the euros in 2024. Yes as I have said Olivier has great confidence in his own ability.so have I ..I believe he will score against Tottenham and we will win the game …Yes it will be close ..So please all AC Milan fans let’s remain optimistic and hopeful.
EVEN IF PIOLI STARTS CALA AND KJ.. IS NOT THAT BAD… GIVEN THAT SALAD AND THIAN HAD A GOOD GAME.
THEY ARE MORE EXPERIENCED… BELIEVE ME, IF IBRA IS FIT TODAY… HE WILL PLAY… OR SURELY WOULD HAVE A TIME IN… EVEN AT IT’S AGE… IT’S NOT ABOUT PIOLI OUT… OK
The Milan play better with Torino because Ibra was on bench. Milans players are scared of him and they play and fight with all their 100% of powers. Now he is not at the bench, Pioli excluded him from C. L😡
