Di Marzio: Rangnick wants an Italian staff at Milan as contacts continue between parties

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have continued contacts with Ralf Rangnick over becoming the club’s new manager, it is claimed, but a meeting in person has not yet happened.

There continues to be persistent speculation in the media regarding the current Red Bull Head of Development and a potential new adventure in Italy with the Rossoneri.

Gianluca Di Marzio spoke to Sky Italia (via MilanNews) regarding the latest news on Rangnick, and confirmed that the club  have avoided meeting the German at this stage.

That is because of two reasons: firstly it is difficult to travel abroad, and secondly because the Serie A season is almost ready to resume and Stefano Pioli must be able to work calmly.

Di Marzio adds that contacts have continued between the parties and he remains the number one candidate for the Milan bench. Rangnick himself would like to surround himself with a staff of Italians, he adds.
