Gianluca Di Marzio is reporting that Sassuolo are interested in purchasing AC Milan youth product, Manuel Locatelli.
Locatelli had a breakout season in 2016-17 as he appeared in 28 matches for the Rossoneri. In the 28 appearances, he scored two crucial goals in Serie A, one against Sassuolo and one against Juventus. Although he struggled at times in 2017-18, he still managed to make 33 appearances for the club across all competitions.
Di Marzio has stated that Locatelli already has reached an agreement with Sassuolo and is willing to join the club. The more difficult part of this negotiation, however, will be with Milan. The Rossoneri do not want to sell Locatelli unless it’s for an important figure.
