Di Marzio: Spurs also in talks with Milan over €30m deal amid Chelsea links – the details

By Oliver Fisher -

Spurs are locked in talks with AC Milan over a deal for striker Krzysztof Piatek, a report claims, amid speculation their rivals Chelsea are also in the running.

Nicolo Schira of La Gazzetta dello Sport reported on Sunday that Piatek’s agent has offered the striker to Chelsea, but has since also stated that Spurs are in the race to land the 24-year-old.

He confirmed that contacts are ongoing between Tottenham and Milan over a potential deal but that Tottenham are not keen on paying the €28-30m asking price, so a swap deal could occur involving one of three players.

Louis Girardi tweeted on Monday that Milan are in talks with Chelsea over a potential deal for Piatek, but no specifics were given.

Now, Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed that Spurs are ‘insistent’ in their attempts to sign the former Genoa man as they look for cover for the injured Harry Kane.

Contacts are continuous, but at the moment there is distance between the two companies . The English club would like Piatek on loan, a formula however not appreciated by the Rossoneri.

Meanwhile, Daniele Longo claims that Piatek will start tomorrow night against Torino in the Coppa Italia, but that Spurs’ interest is genuine and they would be a welcome destination.
