Di Marzio: Torino in ‘advanced negotiations’ over signing of Milan keeper

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are closing in on securing another exit after the departure of Charles De Ketelaere as Torino are advancing in talks over Devis Vasquez, a report claims.

According to what is being reported by Di Marzio, Torino are working on the sale of Alessandro Buongiorno who is getting closer to Napoli but in the meantime they are in ‘advanced negotiations’ over the signing of Vasquez.

They are working on a loan with an option to buy operation and Torino would like to close the deal quickly, to allow the Colombian goalkeeper to be there at the start of the summer preseason training camp.

The 25-year-old arrived at Milan in January 2023 from Club Guarani. Last season, he played 20 games with 10 coming in the Championship with Sheffield Wednesday, then the same number in Serie B with Ascoli.

It was reported recently that Vasquez was heading for another loan to Serie B, this time to Spezia who finished three places higher than Ascoli, but it seems that Torino have been convinced enough by what they have seen.

What role in particular il Toro see for Vasquez remains to be seen, given Vanja Milinkovic-Savic is their experienced number one and Luca Gemello is a bright young back-up.
