Di Marzio: Watford set AC Milan tricky ultimatum for Deulofeu

By Oliver Fisher -

Watford have told AC Milan that they must match their asking price for winger Gerard Deulofeu by Tuesday or they will miss out, a report claims.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Premier League side have told Milan to pay €25m plus bonuses if they wish to secure a return to San Siro for the Spaniard.

Watford have no interest in allowing Deulofeu to leave on loan and are even demanding payment up front from Milan, Di Marzio claims.

The reason for the ultimatum is that the Hornets wish to have the time and money to source a suitable replacement ahead of Thursday’s deadline.

It was recently claimed that Deulofeu – who scored four goals in 17 league appearances during his first spell – wants to secure a return to the Rossoneri.
