There has been a lot said about the Coppa Italia final, and from an AC Milan perspective, little has been good for the Rossoneri.
It is difficult to defend Milan after last night. Put simply, the team were way below the standard expected in a final. However, many would say that this is nothing to shrug at, considering it has been the norm.

With the recent run, there was a feeling of dread present for when it would come undone, and as it so often has this season, it was in a game which mattered the most. Bologna outclassed their opponents, but it was a game won tactically from Vincenzo Italiano, who ‘knew’ his opposition’s plan.
For Peppe Di Stefano, the game was bad in several areas from Milan, and his words to Sky have been relayed by Milan News.
“It was a Milan that was not up to the evening, from the first to the last minute. Some flashes, flashes from some players, but Milan was tactically and technically bad. Little courage, little desire.
“It is a match that the Milan players had been preparing for a month, they could have played it better. What was tactically wrong about how ACM played the game? Be specific. I don’t disagree but I want to hear specifics from someone who knows football better than I do.
It wasn’t a tactical issue. It was a personnel issue. In a final like this where you know that Bologna would man mark you and press, you needed a game breaker like Abraham leading the line.
Why? Because Abraham can beat his man and create chances with his back to goal. Jovic nor Gimenez have these qualities and our attack looked toothless outside of Rafa as a result.
Tammy has also shown he’s very effective at coming back into the midfield area to either win or receive the ball and then play a perfect through ball to a man running into the space behind the back line.
Very effective bordering on excellent at that. Which Milan needed last night to break that high Bologna press.
Yes, the 4 goal striker was the answer. Tammy could have saved us against Zagreb, against Feyenoord and last night against Bologna. 😒
And what did Leão produce? I’m tired of hero ball being the main tactic. So, beat your first man and the defense has two players positioned to deal with the cross.
Shamefull evening, they overplayed us in every aspect of the game, just waisted time.
Nobody will pay back the money for this journey to Rome, but the players will get their payments according to their contracts.
But they forget the UNWRITTEN contract WITH US, THE FANS, they owe us performances, victories, god football, silverware… BUT NOTHING !!
This management and these players have to leave us…

TAMMY should have been in the game longer , maybe even started .! He wins head balls ,( Jovic is terrible in the air ). He can hold up play and he can make nice passes off the ball. I do not want him to stay,send him back , but yesterday He could have been the man to thread a few balls to players that can finish. He Could Have Been The Missing Link If Just Given The Chance !!!!!!
