Diaz admits he must ‘improve’ and shares thoughts on Ancelotti: “He has Milan in his heart”

Although he got a hockey assist for AC Milan’s winner last night, Brahim Diaz could have done a lot better and he’s well aware of that. In fact, he was very honest about that in his post-match interview.

The Spaniard could have opened the scoring within the first 15 minutes as he was left with just the goalkeeper to beat. However, he sent his effort wide and that pretty much summed up his attacking output as of late.

He was involved in Milan’s winner, though, passing the ball to Olivier Giroud before Ismael Bennacer sent it into the back of the net. Speaking to Skt Italia, as cited by MilanNews, Diaz admitted that he still has to improve.

“I like criticism. I always have to improve and I like to listen. I work every day. I have to score more goals, but they will come and there is no problem: I have no doubts,” he began.

Before Milan reached an agreement with Real Madrid last summer, Diaz took part in the Spanish side’s pre-season under Carlo Ancelotti. He was asked about the manager and only had good things to say.

“Ancelotti? I was with him less than two months in the pre-season and he’s an incredible coach. He has Milan in his heart, we talked about everything,” he concluded.
