Di Marzio: Fernandez sends ultimatum to Milan amid increase of €18m clause

Enzo Fernandez is eager to join AC Milan but has made it known that he will only wait until the end of the week. In addition, there is a factor relating to the price that the Rossoneri must consider, a report claims.

As the signing of Renato Sanches remains uncertain, given the interest of Paris Saint-Germain, Milan are also monitoring other solutions on the market and Fernandez is one of them. The River Plate midfielder, aged 21, is ready for the big leap.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Fernandez has told Milan that he will wait until the end of the week, keen on joining the San Siro side. After that, he will give his availability to other teams as Wolves and Benfica also are very interested.

Behind this ultimatum is the midfielder’s release clause, which is currently set at €18m. On Monday, however, it will increase to €23.5m and that’s why the player is rushing the matter. It remains to be seen if the Rossoneri will move forward with their interest.
