Di Marzio: Milan obtain discount as Pellegri will sign for €4m ahead of loan move

By Isak Möller -

Pietro Pellegri hasn’t been that successful since he joined AC Milan on an initial loan deal from Monaco last summer. In desperate need of playing time, a loan move is one the card for the youngster, a report claims.

This season, the striker has made six appearances for the Rossoneri, totalling a mere 127 minutes of playing time. This has obviously been heavily affected by the injuries he has suffered, missing a total of 12 games and counting due to that.

Milan still believe in his potential, though, and for that reason they are willing to keep him on a permanent basis. According to Gianluca Di Marzio (via MilanNews), they are close to redeeming him from Monaco for a fee of €4m, getting a discount.

Pellegri will then be sent out on a six-month loan to Torino, which should do him a lot of good in terms of playing time as long as he can stay fit.

    1. Great move, soften Torino for Bremer transfer. 4M is ridiculous in football for a player that still has great potential.

  1. he has a sliver of a future with Milan, use the money for Theo, Tonali, Kessie, “a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush”

  2. 127 minutes was enough to see that he has a lot of potential. Yes, he is injury prone and this is his only drown back. But, he could be alot better than old ibra and giroud. We need a mobile striker

  3. Buy cheap, sell cheaper? At least that was the previous strategy.

We already got Colombo so no need for Pellegri and Milan will sign a proper striker in the summer anyway. Pellegri isn’t that.

  4. He’s faking the injury to get the price down…just like tonali pretended to play poorly so we could negotiate…he’s not going out on loan just watch

  5. he wasn’t used enough while new and Giroud was playing good, then Giroud got injured and he followed suit, coincidence, not enough to write him off too soon, even Baggio had a mega record of injuries..

good to see dependence on a 40 years old ‘legend’ being lowered though, please look for a playmaker, the only one who’s form has been kinda subpar doesn’t even belong to Milan, and when he’s out Krunic is the answer? Give Daniel and primavera lads more minutes, bring them at hour mark if there’s a cushion as long as Krunic is the ‘starter’ or no money to waste on a CAM

  6. Yeah its not bad for a player who may increase in value, even considering his considerable injury problems, but this 4m could be spread over Kessie and Romagioli and its enough to give both players what they want.
