MN: 50+ Dinamo Zagreb fans fail in ambush on Milan ultras and are forced to retreat

By Oliver Fisher -

There were clashes between AC Milan and Dinamo Zagreb fans after last night’s Champions League game at San Siro, a report claims.

Dinamo fans hardly covered themselves in glory as it was a shameful evening overall for a section of their fan base, with a video before the game clearly showing a large amount of fans doing fascist salutes.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) for example reported that knives, smoke bombs and a telescopic baton were seized from a group of Dinamo Zagreb ultras, with 14 of them arrested.

According to MilanNews, outside the stadium the trouble went beyond the final whistle. A group of about 50-60 Dinamo fans – without banners – broke away from the procession of visiting fans, with the intention of launching an ambush on Milan fans at Piazza Axum.

Once they got there, the Croatian supporters were met by the Milan ultras and after a brief battle in which they sustained ‘several bruises’, the Dinamo ultras were forced to retreat.

    1. Brave fans? Picking a fight with other fans? That’s not brave – that’s idiotic. Lame. F’ng pathetic. I can think of many other words too but brave isn’t one of them.

      1. That’s the thing.
For themselves it looks like they’re f*cking Richards Lionhearts.
For them this is the main purpose of being football fans.
I guess they will plan ambush on our fans in the second game in Croatia

  1. @Milan die hard fan
brave? Are you sure you are not one of them disguising as a Milan fan? Violence in football is absurd no matter how you try to paint it it’s stupidity
