Gianluigi Donnarumma has admitted that he is a fan of both AC Milan and Napoli, which gives his son a tough decision on who to support.
Donnarumma came through the youth academy at Milan and made his debut for the club aged just 16 before moving to Paris Saint-Germain and then this summer to Manchester City. However, he comes from Castellammare di Stabia which is very close to Naples, who his family support.

The goalkeeper held a pre-match press conference on Wednesday on the eve of a Champions League match against Napoli, and his comments were relayed by Football Italia.
“I have many friends there and I’m excited to face them. My family and my mom are having a bit of a hard time, but I hope she’ll cheer for me,” he said.
“You always want to give something extra in the Champions League. For me, the most dangerous [Napoli player] is McTominay, but I also think of Hojlund. I watched their last league game against Fiorentina.
“They have strong wingers and play important vertical balls. We’ll have to stay focused and attentive during the match because they have pace and sharp instincts. I’m happy to face Napoli in such a great game.
“Napoli will surely be ready for the Champions League. They’ve shown it in important matches, and I’m glad for the players and the city.”
Donnarumma signed a five-year contract with City, but when asked about a move to his hometown club Napoli in the future, he replied: “We’ll see. Anything can happen.”
He is also the father of a young son now too, but Gigio admitted that he will leave it up to his son who he supports given the conflict within his own heart given he supports Milan, not to mention that of his family.
“I spent eight years at Milan, and I’m a big fan, just like I am of Napoli. For me, it’s hard to choose, so it will be his decision,” he said.

Whats not surprising is that meathead fans like you don’t understand that Gigio didn’t do anything wrong.
He was considered one of the best GK ers in the world, and as in every other profession, he wanted to get paid as one of the best in his line of work. He did get paid as such at PSG where he won everything.
Then, as the best GKer in the world, he moves from PSG to ManCity where he would be making even more, at 15 mil a season, with his salary going up every season.
What makes him a snake? Because he values himself? That upsets you? Gigio, or any player doesn’t owe anyone anything but to play to the best of his abilities for the time he is under contract and get paid. He did that to the last second of his last game at Milan.
He didn’t lie or lead anyone to believe that he would accept less than what he wanted. He was asking for 12 mil the whole time.
I’m happy for his success.
No matter what meathead fans like you were saying and doing to him during games or on social media, he stayed above it and he keeps on winning.

Meh, it was Raiola that spoiled him. Should have stayed humble, remembering all the outrageous howlers he is making.
Getting paid more might be important for some, but for true, die hard fans, like Totti, who rejected every move throughout his career, loyalty & ability to break records as a one club man is far more important.
I did not really like Totti as a person, but I respect him far more than Donnarumma.
I could remember Giroud a free agent, signing a 1yr contract extention with Chelsea before coming to Milan just for Chelsea to pocket 2million instead of losing him for free. Thats what we call empathy. Gigio was offered a renewal such contract so we dnt lose him completely but he rejected everything. We still remember!
He will likely return to Serie A when he is 40 years old.

If this guy really loved Milan, he could have easily asked his agent to call Milan knowing that Mike wanted Chelsea. He could have lowered his salary to make thing right. He clearly enjoys the Arab money unfortunately.
