Gianluigi Donnarumma left AC Milan in 2021; however, the Italian has always had links back to the club, given his rise through the ranks.
When Donnarumma first debuted for Milan, there was a special feeling around the youngster. However, when he opted to leave at the end of his contract, things got pretty sour quite quickly, understandably so.

This, as you may recall, resulted in San Siro throwing Dollarumma dollars onto the pitch, which were visibly seen. However, the Italian has tried to speak positively of the club when given the opportunity to. It has often done little to mend relations, though.
‘Any way possible’
In the past, he has spoken about why he chose to leave the club in 2021, and it only furthered the frustration towards him. Today, his agent Enzo Raiola spoke about the move and reinforced his decision to leave the Rossoneri; his comments to Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel have been relayed by Milan Press.
“Speaking from a project perspective, we left AC Milan four years ago. That AC Milan didn’t have a solid club behind it at the time, and then there were the various changes within the club. We anticipated the club he was part of.

“Except for that sensational year under Maldini and Massara that led to the Scudetto, all those years weren’t at AC Milan’s level. By going to Paris, we created that project for an important player like Gigio, and it was also important for the Italian national team, but also for his current status.
“We have always pursued Gigio’s step-by-step growth project to improve his career, in any way possible.”
Considering Raiola suggested a Milan return was possible earlier this year after an eighth-place finish, it is a little confusing.

Liar 🤥
The lesser relative of a more accomplished man (Mino). He gives off Fredo Corleone vibes every time he opens his trap and has somehow managed to run a presumably idiot-proof business into the ground. F*ck his client too..lol!
Thank you
Bullsheet. PsG has no projectthey splash Cash and see what sticks.
Its ok too move for money just be honest about it.
This guy Dollarumma left for us for free..and now try with the same with PSG. I really hope PSG will have the power and make him sideline for one year.. and teach a lesson with him.. He deserves it…
But Brugge can’t keep Jashari as a slave and has to respect the players will, right? When the shoe is on the other foot…😂😂😂
Brugge SOLD Jashari, Donnarumma left on a FREE transfer. Funny you can’t see the obvious difference.
If a player refuses to renew, what do you do? Donnarumma left us for free because we did not A) Meet his 8M demand for a renewal; B) Did not sell when it was clear we would not do A and before his contract ran out. The alleged issue here is a player trying to force a club to do something that it doesn’t necessarily want to do, and in one case the player was considered “a slave” and in another the player is considered “a problem”.
However, both of our points may be irrelevant, since it appears the it is PSG who simply want to get rid of him due to a technical choice (see Luis Enrique’s own statements), which would make this situation completely different to Jashari or Donnarumma v. Milan, and in fact makes him the injured party in this situation, which ironically makes all the critical comments against him here seem even more emotionally immature.
Um sorry bro, but you’re not making any sense in your submission. What correlations did Dona’s situation have with Jashari’s?
He deserves whatever comes from psg
The agent won’t get any penny if he doesn’t move to the other club. It’s as simple as that. This counterfeit Raiola should just shut his mouth. No one care about your cash cow.
Yesterday’s news, PSG have humiliated Dolleruma, the overestimated their worth and tried to blackmail PSG, who unlike Milan got another goalkeeper in, they didn’t even let him be a number 2 (no pun intended)
The Riola’s will leave this guy with so many regrets and bad memories and he will forever be ridiculed and deservedly so
God forbid living with the ridicule of being a UCL winner, EURO winner, 9 FR trophies, 3 times best goalkeeper in the league and he is just entering his prime years (where he also has more experience and cool head on the shoulders)… , he is a world class keeper with probably 10+ years of world class play ahead of him.
He chose his interests over his boyhood club, many would do the same and frankly clubs always choose what is better for them, rather than their players. So let’s not forget that as well.
Wasn’t he MVP of those Euros as well? Really bad list of accomplishments for a 26 year old goalkeeper. 🤣
Yes he was. The summer he left us. For all intents and purposes, one of the top 5 in his position worldwide. Yet our club offered him 5 to 6 million yearly when he could get 9 to 12 at the top 10 clubs in football. He made the sensible decision. Management can’t even pay a player we got for free from our academy a fair wage, then obviously anyone can see we won’t build a competitive club.
Boyhood club. Sounds like you are talking about Juve Stabia and not AC Milan.
They just have to stop commenting on the Milan saga. He used the same tactic this year with PSG, but PSG are in the position of power, especially before world cup. If Gigio wants to play there, he needs a solid club and as he broke his relationship with PSG, he now is forced to move for a fee, meaning lower salary and lower ‘Raiola’ tax.
Zlatan+ Köttbullen Raiola= Råttor
Thank You, the only way back for you at San Siro is if you buy a ticket to watch a game. We have a better youngster and Magnian, so we are solid there. We also have a project and it is going well for those that believe in it
Nice one
Maignan can sign with another club 3.5 months from today. Exactly the same situation as Donnarumma, but PSG has money so they can do this. But “we have Maignan” after the guy tired to force transfer to Chelsea is a bit ridiculous.
We did that to ourselves after tabling a contract extension that he seemed inclined to accept, and then withdrawing it and offering less because of a howler or two, or whatever the reason was. If I were Maignan, I’d only accept the original renewal or I’d walk. Losing the revenue from a sale is going to suck if he doesn’t renew, but at this point it’s a problem for 2026.
So until when does Milan have Maignan? You missed the point/
Currently we have Maignan until 2026. What was the point, if you’d kindly explain?
“We have a better youngster and Magnian, so we are solid there. We also have a project and it is going well for those that believe in it”
Milan is neither solid at GK position or the project is going well. Maignan can sign for Chelsea for free January 1st.
Then I don’t think I missed the point, we agree. My comment simply points out that we have ourselves to blame for the mess, and that if I were Maignan I would not accept a renewal now for anything less than the original offer (and maybe not accept any renewal at all TBH). And at this point the position IS a problem for 2026, because he’s not moving now nor will we find an adequate replacement. We’ll lose him on a free transfer thanks to Furlani, and Tare will have to clean up the mess next summer.
No. His entire motivation was money. Not career. And look at what happened… He got burned again.
Creed curse exit not milan
Strange comment. Has he not won a plethora of titles at PSG, including a champions league? What career would he have had by staying at Milan? One scudetto and then the Eighth Place Superduper Cup? The issue is not that he left “for money” or whatever, the issue is that Milan, as usual, did not know when to sell, so there was no transfer fee received.
Strange reply. That was PSG and he still ended up in a contract mess in the end. It’s funny how you guys love Dollarrumma so much more than Milan. He left for money. You are too blind and naive to see it.
“It’s funny how you guys love Dollarrumma so much more than Milan.” What a wild assertion. I’m just observing facts. I don’t love Donnarumma, and I don’t hate Donnarumma. As I noted, the problem was that we did not know when to let him go. Couldn’t he get more money in Saudi? Is he moving there? Q.E.D.
He will get “burned again” by joining City. Last time the burn was joining PSG. Maignan’s dream is to “get burned” like Donnarumma. When something doesn’t make sense at all but someone is trying to convince you don’t get it.
It’s not that we didn’t know. I remember the saga. Perfectly, he kept saying he’d renewed for a high wage i believe at 10 mil a season plus agent fee. We couldn’t afford it. He tried to negotiate with Juve until the Ultra at Milan came and talked to him. He said that he’d make a decision after the season was over. M&M saw through his lie and got Mike signed up early in the mercato.
At no point in time did he mention anything about the club direction. Now he’s saying that because he got a UCL with PSG. He tried the same stunts PSG acted far quicker than we did. He’s making those statements because his plans failed and he’s trying to maintain the image that he’s not in it for the money that’s plain and obvious. I think by now important club will see the pattern and not sign him. Besides his options are limited and i don’t see any Premier league giving out mega contract to him.
He will not join city for the same reason he is leaving PSG — he cannot play ball with his legs.
Yesterday I made a comment about Gigi and for some reason that comment disappeared even after it was posted and today here’s a Gigi article. Ain’t that cool? Anyway, I heard that Liverpool got Leoni for £30m. 🙂
Deleted comments on this site is something else especially given what other ppl are allowed to say
That’s nice. You can find a Liverpool site to post that on. I personally wouldn’t be fine with spending that amount on an 18 year old with just 17 games.
26, it was 30M€.
Irrelevant, not a Milan player. Who cares? Most comments are how he got “burned” or “got what he deserved”? What, a transfer to PSG and now probably Man City? 🤣🤣
When he left Milan i thought it was a case of youngster stirred by his agent.
I was wrong.
It was in his blood.
We can clearly see a pattern here—he has absolutely no respect for the clubs. All he cares about is money. He’s nothing more than a mercenary. Our fans were right to throw money at him, as it perfectly reflected the situation. Now, everyone can see and understand why we were so frustrated—not because he left, but because of the way he chose to do it. He had the chance to carve his name into Milan’s history, but instead, he’s shown everyone exactly what kind of man he truly is.
Donnaruma you get what you deserve only blame yourself Ac Milan gave you everything, the club who raise you, gave you a worth, show you to the hole world you turn down the renew contract and leave your former club for free!that pain you have is the same pain we have when you leave the club is called Karma
Gigi and Milan are old news can we move on from this for good, he is a great keeper but I hope Allegri convinces maignan to stay I prefer him over Gigi
Its ok for every player to leave Milan if they want but after we made him what he is today, gave him the chance at 16 years old. The least he could have done was to tell the management ment lets make a 2-3 year contract then sell me. We would have gotten money even if 10m fans would have not hated him like they do now. But the way he did it was the problem to leave for free after all we did for him just left a bad taste.
Plus if he had signed with Milan such a contract with “promise” of selling, his agent would have gotten an extra paycheck too. Unless Milan had decided not to pay Raiola no matter what.
Then why is he doing the same thing to PSG, a club that won everything last year. Proper trolling this dude
Hehehe… keep whining.
Donnarumma pricing himself out of every club. I can see him chasing the money all the way to Saudi Arabia.
I kind of think it’s fine for any player to pursue a better salary. But it also It sounds like Donnarumma thought PSG was a team with better quality at the time of his move. I wonder if his style would still be good for Milan, regardless of his salary demands and transfer fees. Would Donnarumma view Milan’s current squad as good enough for him now?
He is top GK for shot stopper. But for now his 12m euro nett salary make all italian club cannot sign him, his escape route only to EPL club or other rich club like Bayern muenchen or Real Madrid. Maybe he will comeback to ACM after his age 35 +++
His exit was being weaponized by Top mgnt to in order to kick out Maldini. hahah 🙂 Dollarumma
Raiola was 75% the reason why Donna left us, if not more.
He also forced that move and it affected the club finances.
Luckily for us, we won the next year with Mike on goal.
Donna should go, he is one of the best but I still don’t want him in Milan
Donnarumma is just Juve Vlahovic. Their only interest is to make more money.
