Gigio Donnarumma is comfortably one of the best goalkeepers in the world and showed why that is the case last night. Against Red Star Belgrade, he made a crucial point-blank save to keep Milan from losing their advantage.
Rightfully so, the 22-year-old was praised by Italian newspapers this morning and it’s clear that the Rossoneri really need to extend his contract. It will expire this summer and they still haven’t reached an agreement with his agent, Mino Raiola.
In our ratings, Donnarumma got the highest among the Milan players (6/10) along with Franck Kessie and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who also played well. In the second half, Gigio made a crucial save from close range, showing off his reflexes.
