MN: The doubts Pioli must resolve in Milan’s line-up to face Lazio

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli has some selection doubts that he must resolve prior to this weekend’s trip to face Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico.

MilanNews begin their look ahead to the game by remarking that there will be a huge following of Rossoneri supporters that descend on the capital, which will create an almost home atmosphere for the team when coupled with the fact Lazio’s Curva Nord are protesting over ticket prices.

Stefano Pioli has Ante Rebic back at his disposal and still hopes to have Zlatan Ibrahimovic too depending on how he is tomorrow, given that the Swede trained partly with the rest of the squad at Milanello today.

Pioli must decide what kind of trio to field behind the striker Olivier Giroud and among these doubts is whether to continue with Franck Kessie as the central attacking midfielder or whether to give confidence to Brahim Diaz, who was very effective in the Coppa Italia against the Biancocelesti earlier this year.

There is the usual battle between Junior Messias and Alexis Saelemaekers to start on the right wing, while in defence nothing should be changed, with Alessio Romagnoli returning to the bench for a game against what could be his next club.
