Eintracht star Andre Silva reflects on a ‘difficult and mentally complicated’ time at Milan

Eintracht Frankfurt striker Andre Silva has reflected upon his time with AC Milan, insisting it was the right decision to leave when he did.

Silva joined Milan from Porto in a big-money deal back in the summer of 2017, but after a fast start he never really kicked on, spending time on loan at Sevilla before moving to Eintracht on a two-year loan deal last summer.

The Portuguese striker scored 16 goals and registered five assists for the German side in 2019-20 across all competitions. Therefore, they were keen on locking him down and managed to reach an agreement with Milan for the transfer.

The Portuguese striker has offered a reflection upon his time with Milan which ended up being more brief than he probably hoped and imagined.

“At Milan things were not going well. I have lived through a difficult and mentally complicated year,” he said (via MilanLive).

“I was in the mood for something new and Eintracht was the right choice. Today I am a different and improved player, compared to that of Milan. I found myself and at the age of 24 I’m fine with myself.”
