El Chiringuito: Real Madrid defender wants playing time – Milan, Roma and Napoli at the window

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are one of three Serie A clubs interested in signing Real Madrid defender Nacho Fernandez, according to a report.

After Leo Duarte entered quarantine due to testing positive for Coronavirus, Milan are down to just having Simon Kjaer and Matteo Gabbia as their senior centre-back options, with Alessio Romagnoli and Mateo Musacchio both not back from injury yet.

A number of targets have been linked including Fiorentina duo Nikola Milenkovic and German Pezzella plus Celtic’s Kristoffer Ajer, Saint-Etienne’s Wesley Fofana and recently Schalke’s Matija Nastasic, but Nacho Fernandez is a name that hasn’t gone away.

According to El Chiringuito, the 30-year-old defender has been told he can leave Real Madrid this summer in order to get more playing time at another club.

The source adds that Milan, Roma and Napoli are the current potential destinations for Nacho, and that Real Madrid do not plan on securing a replacement.
