El Pais: Milan and Barcelona eyeing winger Liverpool paid €47m for

By Oliver Fisher -

Jurgen Klopp’s decision to leave Liverpool could impact the future of certain players such as Luis Diaz, a report claims, and AC Milan are one of the clubs monitoring his situation.

According to El Pais in Colombia, Klopp’s decision to leave Liverpool at the end of the season could lead to the departure of some players who were starters under them. One of them Luis Díaz, who could also follow in the German coach’s footsteps and leave the English club.

The Colombian winger is experiencing one of his best moments in his career and has aroused the interest of several teams that could tempt him to hasten his departure from Liverpool, who he joined for around €47m in 2022 (as per Goal).

In addition to that, Liverpool are expected to put him up for sale to raise money to start the renewals of Mo Salah and Virgil van Dijk.

Barcelona were the first team to show interest in the 27-year-old winger. However, the Blaugrana do not have much money to spend on him given their financial situation.

Another of the teams that showed interest in ‘Lucho’ are PSG, who see Díaz as an interesting name to replace Kylian Mbappé given that he is Real Madrid bound.

The report adds that Milan have set their sights on Luis Díaz, who has 11 goals and five assists in 38 games across all competitions so far this season, because they intend to ‘invest’ to bolster the squad.

  1. Lol. Milan does not need a winger, like at all. And this dude will be 60-70M easy. Whos gonna pay that much? Not Milan.

      1. even if he does leave they wont spend that money on one player. they will buy 3-4 guys with it… This diaz dude is nothing to write home about.

honestly if barca is interested in him then you know he is no good 😀

  2. Would be cool but not a priority. Also, this is milan we are talking about – no way we will spend 60-70m on a player.
