GdS: Elliott willing to invest big in Milan’s summer market – first signing should cost €40m

AC Milan’s owners Elliott Management are willing to invest a substantial sum of money into the summer window, a report claims.

According to what reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via SempreMilan.it), Elliott are ready to allocate new funds to finance the next Milan mercato so that the team can consolidate itself in Italy and improve their performance in Europe.

The first purchase made by Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara should be Sven Botman of Lille. The defender will cost the Rossoneri €40m, a figure that has so far been considered out of the ‘range’ established by the American fund but it shows that they are willing to push the boat out a bit more.

In recent weeks there has already been talk of €100m being allocated for the next market. With the arrival of Botman and Origi (the latter on a free transfer), there would in theory be €60m left that the management could spend on forwards like Traorè of Sassuolo and/or Asensio of Real Madrid.
