SM: Elliott and Gerard Lopez talking directly over €30m Botman deal – the situation

AC Milan are hopeful that they can agree a deal with Lille for Sven Botman and Elliott Management are leading the negotiations, we have learned.

Today’s edition of the French newspaper L’Equipe spoke about the rising chances of seeing Botman at Milan because Lille are experiencing a moment of economic difficulty that will surely lead to a retooling of the squad.

According to what we have learned through out colleagues at SempreMilan.it, the Rossoneri and Botman reached a verbal agreement in the winter window and they could complete everything in view of the summer.

Botman, on a numerical level, will take the place of Alessio Romagnoli who destined to leave Milan at the end of the season and will compete for the starting shirt with Pierre Kalulu, partnering Fikayo Tomori.

Ownerships in contact

The negotiation with Lille – which is on the basis of a transfer fee of around €30m – are being handled by the two owners: Elliott Management on the Milan side, and Gerard Lopez on the other.

The agreement does not seem to be far away and the decisive meeting between the two managements could take place in the coming weeks to close the deal. At the moment the Diavolo are not monitoring other profiles in defense, demonstrating that Botman is more than a target for Milan.
