Sky: Elliott Management’s stance made clear amid rumours of Investcorp takeover

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are not currently up for sale but if a big offer came along they would consider it, according to a report.

French newspaper L’Equipe (via TMW) reported this morning that there are doubts about Elliott Management and whether they will stay as owners for much longer, because Milan are in talks with the Middle Eastern investment fund Investcorp which would like to buy both the Rossoneri and Ligue 1 club Lille.

Investcorp were founded in 1982 and as of 2019, Wikipedia writes that they have over $37bn in assets under management. It raised questions about whether the recent presence at the Dubai Expo was more than just a simple mission to improve the exposure of the club’s brand.

According to Sky (via Francesco Nasato), Milan are not currently up for sale but if a very serious offer were to arrive then Elliott would consider it, as is natural for the owner of any football club.

  1. Now that Milan is financially stable, I’m pretty sure Elliott knows the value of Milan is gonna grow exponentially over the next couple of years once we start winning trophies.

We almost won Scudetto without a whole RW. With a proper effective RW and CAM and the pressing football we are playing, we will give the rest of Europe a run for their money next season.

This Emirati fund is just the first of many suitors to come knocking on Elliott’s door, and they know it much better than us.
Once the new stadium is built, Milan will turn into a money printing machine if this form of ours continues in the next season.

Elliott is gonna have much much more interesting suitors in the future if they are looking to sell. It’s a win win for them eitherway.

  2. so what?! even Como owner is 10x richer than Abramovich, if they don’t want to spent mean nothing gonna change, Elliot goal is capital gain so they hire Arsenal director. those Arsenal (is opposite of Berlusconi era) buy cheap player with minimum wage then sell or release if players asking payrise. not a trophy challanger but a feeder club
