This evening, Emerson Royal has delivered a parting message to AC Milan after his move to Flamengo was confirmed.

It did not work out for Milan and Emerson, which a lot of fans expected when the Brazilian arrived last summer. So, the club have made a loss on the deal which brought him to Italy less than 12 months ago, as he departed for €9 million today.

Nevertheless, he has not left with any bad feelings towards the Rossoneri, and tonight posted an Instagram to say thank you, as can be seen below.

“Thank you for everything Milan, you will always be in my heart.”

  1. Whilst he won’t go down as a Milan legend, he’s been a professional and I wish him all the best, hope he finds his best version.

  2. He wasn’t greedy. He agreed to a move without any fuss. He wasn’t exactly a great transfer, but I don’t hold any bad feelings towards him.

  3. Wish him the best.
It’s not his fault that Moncada thought he could play for us and despite everything, he tried his best, did (or tried to do) what was asked for him and when the club no longer wanted him, he pretty much accepted every offer that was presented to him.

  4. Happy he was agreeable to a move without turning down one after the other. Hopefully it works out for him in Brazil, Milan was clearly not a good fit. Not surprisingly either, but you can’t blame a play we for accepting a transfer they aren’t actually good enough for – that’s the sporting directors job to avoid.

  5. He really got a lot of flak from everyone, but he’s still a top bloke and a model professional. Only wish him the best for the future and thank you for his time here.

  6. Good human. Model professional. Good on him for somehow managing to convince a string of big clubs to sign him.

    Best of luck.
