Ennahar TV: Bennacer undergoes MRI after feeling muscle pain – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

Ismael Bennacer will undergo a check-up today after feeling discomfort in his muscle during Algeria’s training session yesterday, according to a report.

According to what is being reported by Ennahar TV (via MilanNews) Bennacer underwent an examination after he felt pain felt in his adductor during training yesterday.

He went to Bouaké hospital for medical checks in view of today’s game against Burkina Faso and his condition will be assessed this morning. His participation in the match is now obviously at risk.

Clearly all the Rossoneri fans are monitoring the situation with attention and apprehension, considering that Bennacer had just returned from a very long spell on the sidelines following surgery on his knee.

The good news is that the MRI scan ruled out any adductor muscle strain or tear which means that the issue seems minimal and thus there is no need for any alarm.

However, it may be that Algeria choose to take a cautious route and not start the former Empoli man today. That being said, they drew their opening game in the competition 1-1 against Angola so they really need to get a win on the board.

  1. The fact that Bennacer didn’t refuse to be called up for this tournament, in my opinion, means that he should be sold to the highest bidder in the summer. He has been injured the whole season while taking Milan’s money, and as soon as he returns he goes to Africa where players notoriously get injured easily, and now he risks falling back even more. F*ck that attitude…

    1. Yes bro i get it is frustrating to see our best midfielder getting injured again. And i think we need to understand too that if we were him, and have a chance to help our beloved country in a tournament.. i think we all will took that chance.

    2. Playing for his country in such competition means a lot to him..and to many other players.
Injuries can always occur, whether it’s in the leagues, continental competitions, or world cup.

    3. I hope this commenter is still a kid cause he clearly doesn’t understand about playing for the country / national team is the highest achievement and honor for a football player. Even Maldini would

And AFCON is a very prestigious event for African countries. It’s like their mini World Cup.

You should grow up before commenting again.
