ESPN: Man City man in talks with Valencia over return amid Milan links

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan’s strategy for the summer is very clear: young but experienced players will be brought in to start the new revolution. With Ralf Rangnick expected at the helm, the Rossoneri will look to adopt the RB Leipzig model.

In other words, Milan will focus a lot on youth, as has been CEO Ivan Gazidis’ wish ever since he arrived. Despite this, Corriere Dello Sport (via MilanLive) stated a few weeks back that they had opened talks with 35-year-old David Silva.

The Man City midfielder’s contract will expire at the end of the season, making him a free agent. According to a report from ESPN, however, Valencia are in pole position as Silva is in talks with them over a return this summer.

And since there have been no more reports in Italy about Milan’s interest, we can only assume that the Rossoneri won’t sign the experienced midfielder. Of course, things could change in just a matter of days.
