ESPN: Man Utd welcome offers for Milan-linked duo they paid €68.5m for

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have been given a big boost in their pursuit of Manchester United duo Donny van de Beek and Diogo Dalot, a report claims.

Dalot has been linked with a return by most sources, while MilanNews recently reported that Van de Beek is a target for the midfield department. Il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) then backed that up, stating how Milan have become alerted by the situation surrounding the Netherlands international who could end up on the market.

According to ESPN, sources insist the midfielder is willing to fight for his place at Old Trafford after his £40m (€46.5m) move from Ajax, while the 24-year-old is on holiday after having to withdraw from the Netherlands squad due to injury.

The report adds that enquiries made by agents and intermediaries over the availability of Van de Beek have been met with a response from the club that “every player has a realistic valuation.” The €22m signing (via Wiki) Diogo Dalot, meanwhile, ‘could leave again’.

  1. There’s no “fighting for his place” versus Fernandes and Pogba. He’ll get games when they’re injured or rested, but not going to depose either of them for first choice.
