The left wing-back was labelled by some as a the weak link in the side given that Davide Bartesaghi has been starting on that flank. However, he responded brilliantly by burying a pass from Youssouf Fofana into the top corner having made a run in behind Luis Henrique.

Moments before the goal, Mkhitaryan had missed a huge chance to put Inter ahead as he strolled through one on one but shot straight at Mike Maignan. Federico Dimarco also missed the target from a great position in the second half, but aside from that Inter created very little.
It means that the title race remains alive for now, though the Nerazzurri still have a seven-point advantage even if they do have a tough run of games coming up.
