Pervis Estupinan will be the fourth AC Milan player to enter the World Cup tournament, with his Ecuador taking on the Ivory Coast tonight.

The 2026 edition of the World Cup kicked off on Thursday and three Milan players have already been in action: Santiago Gimenez (Mexico), Christian Pulisic (USA), and Ardon Jashari (Switzerland). It was a mixed bag from these, to say the least.

The Mexican didn’t even get a single minute, which didn’t exactly boost his confidence, while the Swiss international only got a few minutes in a disappointing 1-1 draw against Qatar. The American, meanwhile, played 45 minutes against Paraguay and got an assist.

It’s time for Estupinan

Tonight, it will be time for the fourth Milan player: Pervis Estupinan. The left-back is expected to start for Ecuador in their clash against the Ivory Coast. It’s a tough one predict as the feeling is that it will be quite even.

Considering that Germany are also in the group, it could be very important for Estupinan’s side to get a good result. Curacao is the other national team and you would imagine that both Ecuador and the Ivory Coast will beat them, so then tonight’s clash becomes crucial.
