Pervis Estupinan came off the bench and scored a wonderful goal for Ecuador as they won their final World Cup warm-up game.
Head coach Sebastian Beccacece did not start Estupinan in the friendly against Guatemala played at Scotts Miracle-Gro Field in Columbus, Ohio. The full-back came on in the 77th minute for Yaimar Medina with the score at 2-0 for Ecuador, and found the net within seconds of coming on.

Estupinan took advantage of a mistake by Hagen, outwitting the Guatemalan goalkeeper with a fine left-footed lob from long range. It was great technique to score comfortably from the first time shot, even if the net was unguarded.
He recorded one shot and converted it into one goal. He had 15 touches and the data also showed one foul, two turnovers and one failed control. The former Brighton man completed nine of nine passes, with an impeccable 100% accuracy.
He completed four of four passes in his own half and five of five in the opposition’s half. Finally, the 28-year-old recorded one key pass and one successful cross in one attempt.

The first game that Ecuador will have in their World Cup campaign is against Ivory Coast on Monday 15 June at 01:00 CEST in Philadelphia.
