Eurosport: Milan, Arsenal and Spurs all want latest Salzburg sensation but there is a club on pole

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are in the running to land Red Bull Salzburg star Dominik Szoboszlai but they have four clubs for competition, a report claims.

The Rossoneri have been heavily linked with a move for the 20-year-old since the summer transfer window when it seemed like Ralf Rangnick would take up a role as head coach and director.

Szoboszlai is regarded as one of the best talents in European and world football, and it seems as though his time with RB Salzburg is drawing to a close, with several of Europe’s top clubs now pawing for his signature.

According to Eurosport (via MilanNews), the Hungarian playmaker – as Erling Haaland did a year ago – will change clubs in the winter transfer window as he feels ready for a new adventure, and it seems he will be able to pick.

The broadcaster adds that Milan, Arsenal, Tottenham and Atletico Madrid would be ready to welcome him with open arms, but the favourite remains RB Leipzig, who because they share an ownership group with RB Salzburg basically have a preferential lane.

Any interested club will just have to pay his €25m release clause, and we weighed up the economics of Milan paying that amount to sign him vs. renewing Hakan Calhanoglu.
