Evening Standard: Striker told he can leave Chelsea with Milan keen on reunion

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is heading out of the exit door at Chelsea and AC Milan are interested in bringing him back to the club, a report claims.

According to the Evening Standard, Mauricio Pochettino will now begin a clear out of the Chelsea squad following his appointment as their new head coach and Aubameyang has been told that he must find a new club.

Several clubs in Saudi Arabia have come forward to express their interest, with Chelsea willing to accept a small fee and take a loss on the £12m (€14m) fee they paid to sign him less than a year ago.

Aubameyang would approve of a return to Barcelona, but Atletico Madrid and Milan are also interested in him as per the source, and the Gabon international did play with the Rossoneri as a youth player in the late 2000s.

The 33-year-old scored three goals in 21 appearances this season with Chelsea under pressure to sell players before June 30 to improve their financial accounts for 2022-23 in relation to Financial Fair Play rules after a huge spending spree.

Edouard Mendy, Christian Pulisic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Hakim Ziyech, Mateo Kovacic, Marc Cucurella and Kai Havertz could all be sold.
