Evening Standard: Milan monitoring the situation as Chelsea open to Lukaku loan

A report in England is now claiming that AC Milan are attentive to Romelu Lukaku’s situation following Chelsea’s decision to listen to loan offers.

After Gianluca Di Marzio’s report earlier today suggested Milan could try to sign Lukaku on loan, the Evening Standard also believe that the Rossoneri are monitoring developments closely.

Roma have emerged as frontrunners to sign the Belgian as per the report, with the Blues having made him available for a loan after minimal interest in a permanent deal.

The 30-year-old would be left out of the team entirely unless he can seal an exit from Stamford Bridge. Roma are preparing a loan offer as Milan ‘monitor the situation’.

Jose Mourinho has worked with Lukaku before during his second spell as Blues boss, so the possibility of reuniting with him could be tempting for both parties.

Chelsea want ‘a big loan fee’ and ‘the majority of Lukaku’s £325,000-a-week wages covered’, which translates to around €380k.
